Yesterday we made our obligatory visit to the Merritt Island Nature Reserve. This is the wetland area that surrounds the Kennedy Space Station at Cape Canaveral.
As well as the usual range of birds we saw three or four alligators, two feral hogs (escaped from the Spanish colonisers hundreds of years ago) and an armadillo.
